Been there done that.
Now all eyewear that is displayed up front is taken down every evening just like at a jewelry shop so there will be less 2AM window shopping.

We used to have a "cheers" type dive next to us and closing time left a few less than sober pedestrians. The bar is gone and our Friday nights are less exciting.
