And our planned large VA facility for the Stockton/Modesto region is taking far too long to get funding and build it. . We have to drive 40 to 80 miles for most types of care. My last journey to VA Palo Alto took 7 1/2 hours in heavy traffic., 160 miles RT. We have over 30K veterans in our area waiting for accessible care.
Meanwhile, state prisons have built new excellent health facilities for felons nearby, and foreigners can enroll in Medicaid soon after stepping off the plane or boat, also get access to local health care.
So why are funds delayed for several years for VA clinics? Sequestration blamed on the Republicans in Congress. So you who have voted Republican have hurt veterans.
